A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Southern California on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake occurred at around 9:52 pm. in Huntington Beach, according to the USGS. The agency said the incident occurred about three kilometers southeast of the city.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake struck about 9:52 p.m. 1.86 miles southeast of the Orange County city. Its depth was approximately 7.77 miles.
The local fire department did not go into earthquake mode.
Social media users reported feeling the shaking in Costa Mesa, Long Beach, Garden Grove and surrounding areas. No injuries or structural damage have been reported in connection with the tremor.
