Honda is preparing the all-new, third-generation Amaze for global debut next year. The current Amaze has been in the market for almost five years and has only received a mild mid-lifecycle update in 2021. According to sources, the next-generation Amaze will be based on the development of the existing sedan’s platform.

Honda Amaze 2024 Facelift – What new things to expect?

It appears that Honda is finally taking the Indian market seriously. After years of waiting, it has finally launched its proper SUV i.e. Elevate in India. Honda will be hoping that the Elevate will do well for the brand and help it re-establish itself in India. Another flagship product of Honda in India is Amaze. For this purpose, it is working on its new generation model. Honda is planning to introduce this new generation Amaze next year with several upgrades. The new Honda Amaze will be based on the updated PF2 platform which is also based on the Elevate. Although the Amaze is a compact sedan, its length will be less than 4 metres. Talking about design, being a new generation we can expect a completely new design. Over the past few years, Honda has made the Amaze’s design sharper and we can expect this trend to continue in the new Amaze as well. We can see the new grille, headlamps and fenders. 2024 Honda Amaze – Expected Specifications

The 2024 Honda Amaze will continue with the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 89bhp and 110Nm torque. Sadly, this might be the only engine on offer, as Honda had to discontinue its diesel engines due to BS6 Stage 2 norms. It also doesn’t seem keen on bringing turbo petrol engines to India. One new thing that Honda could introduce is factory-fitted CNG, yet, that seems a distant thing.

Honda knows that features have become an important selling point in India. Like the Elevate, Honda will provide some essential features rather than some fancy features. We can see a new floating infotainment system and an updated dashboard layout. Other additional features may include a premium sound system, automatic AC, powered mirrors, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, etc. Honda may also introduce an electric sunroof, which will be a first in the segment. ADAS is fast becoming a standard and we can expect it on the new Amaze as well.

2024 Honda Amaze – Launch and Price

According to reports, Honda plans to launch the new Honda Amaze in the second half of 2024. After launch, it will compete with Tata Tiago and Hyundai Aura. The Dezire is also expected to get a major update soon and it will be interesting to see how both the cars compete with each other. In terms of price, we can expect a big increase of around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh, as this is a completely new model with new design and features. Prices for the new Amaze could start at Rs 10 lakh and go up to Rs 14 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
